Hey so i currently have 2 servers within the same OUon 1 server its pulling all the GPO'son the other server its not pulling all of them. So I work for a nursing home/campus and we are starting to get requests about devices like the Google Home.
So Ctrl-click > Open in Finder.īuy Pico-8 ($14.99, direct) The best Mac essential utilities And if it sounds like too much effort to make your own retro megahit, use the built-in browser to dig into thousands of cracking free titles that others have already made.Īgain, your Mac won’t want to run this one at first. Sharing games is a cinch – they’re essentially saved as PNG files. It’s intentionally limited and comes bundled with tools that let you craft your own music, graphics and code. You might think there are quite enough real-world retro consoles without someone making a brand-new one. Use Ctrl-click > Open in Finder and you’ll be on your way to retro bliss. Your Mac will grumble the first time you try to launch OpenEmu. Just watch those chunky pixels don’t take an eye out. There’s also an ‘experimental’ version that adds a load of additional systems, including arcade. If you’ve previously delved into the horrors of emulation, OpenEmu’s ‘it just works’ mentality will appeal. Controllers can be configured, and then you can play. Point it at your games and it’ll download cover art. Fortunately, OpenEmu is one of the best on any platform. The Mac’s not exactly drowning in emulators when you want to get your retro gaming on. And being able to flag books as ‘loaned’ means you should never again lose a precious volume to a forgetful friend.īuy Book Tracker (free + $17.99/£17.99, Mac App Store) OpenEmu You can track what you’re currently reading and note down what you thought when you were done. Log your collection in the app by bar-code scans or online searches, and then tag/organise as you see fit. If you often guiltily look at piles of unread books around your home, glance at digital books installed on devices, and then decide to buy yet more books (because, hey, more books), Book Tracker is a must. The app generously gives you all this for free but lob the creator a one-off payment and you unlock filtering options and can follow record labels.īuy MusicHarbor (free or $6.99/£6.99, Mac App Store) Book Tracker Promo videos are available too, like your own personalised MTV. The app then shows latest and upcoming releases, which you can preview or add to your library. You ‘import’ artists from Music or add them manually. Handily, MusicHarbor does that job brilliantly. MusicHarborĪpple’s Music app is fine for playback and surfacing new tunes you’ll like, but it’s rubbish at keeping tabs on favourite artists. When life shifts from work to play, use these apps to entertain yourself. And even if you don’t use it as your primary tool for, say, writing copy, you’ll be glad to have it installed for tricky find-and-replace sessions.īuy BBEdit ($59.99, direct / $49.99/£49.99 per year, Mac App Store) It chews through even the largest of files. In all cases, the app is unparalleled when it comes to editing, search, and manipulation of documents. And its reached its fine old age by being relentlessly excellent, by way of an abundance of features for anyone who works with words, textual data and code. With 30 years under its belt, BBEdit is a veteran of the Mac. And probably good ideas too, although they’re optional (and down to you).īuy MindNode (free or $19.99/£19.99 per year, Mac App Store) BBEdit You can get started with a bulleted list, which with a single click explodes into a mind map that can be augmented with all manner of colour, imagery, stickers, and icons. The port is inside a fenced-off area, and there were tons of taxi and tour vendors calling out to the passengers who were disembarking. (But I know that if I had the morning tour tickets, something would have happened and we’d be late, because that’s just how it goes.) We actually got into port a little early, so we would have made it to Cahuita by 8:45 if we had been able to book the morning tour. I think I was a victim of bait-and-switch? I’d look so frantic and desperate that they’d probably charge me double. If we had to do the morning tour, I would have been the crazy lady running up to the taxi, dragging a girl in sloth socks. I was absolutely thrilled. I was glad that we could do the later tour (heck, I was glad we could do the tour at all!) because it would give us time to scout out the taxi situation at the port. He even mentioned that if for some reason they couldn’t find us a taxi in time, the sanctuary did have a van and they could help us out so we wouldn’t miss our ship. If he didn’t, they could call another taxi for us. The driver would most likely wait in the parking lot during the tour, and then drive us back. I had also asked him for advice on transportation from the port, and he said that I could easily catch a taxi from the port area. He also told me he would knock $15 off the price of each ticket since we couldn’t do the boat tour. Gerald said that he could remove the rowboat excursion from the end of the tour, which would take at least 45 minutes off of the total time. He let me know that the morning tour was full, but there was room in the afternoon tour. I emailed the sanctuary explaining my dilemma, and I promptly received a reply from Gerald. There could be traffic, and then we’d be late, and we all know that the ship doesn’t wait for stragglers. The 12:45 tour plus a 35-minute taxi ride back would get us to the port right at last call to board. I wasn’t sure how long it would take us to find a taxi at the port, or if we’d even be able to get off the ship quickly enough. Our ship’s schedule had us arriving in Limón at 8 AM, but arrival times are never a guarantee. Looking at the sanctuary’s schedule, I saw two three-hour “Insider” tours per day (Tuesdays through Sundays at 8:45 AM and 12:45 PM). It didn’t include transportation, but it was half the price! They offered the same tour that Princess had advertised, but for $125 per adult. This small coastal city is a little over a half-hour south of where we’d be docking in Limón. A quick search revealed that it’s the Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica (also known as Aviarios del Caribe) in Cahuita. That wouldn’t work.įrom the description on Princess’ website, I knew that the sanctuary was where Animal Planet’s “Meet the Sloths” show was filmed. There were tickets for a shorter excursion to the sloth sanctuary, but there was no access to baby sloths, just regular old grown-up sloths. The only reason why I completely blew my budget on this trip was so that we could see baby sloths. I’ll find out who it is, and book us through them. Some other tour company must be offering this as a shore excursion, I thought. Reverse-engineering a Costa Rica baby sloth tour There was really no waitlist there was only one tour available that day. If it sold out this fast, they’ll add a second excursion. You know that feeling you get when you’re watching a movie and scary music unexpectedly plays, giving you a sense of unbelievable dread? That’s the feeling I got in my chest when I logged on and saw the words SOLD OUT. I went onto the cruise planner on Princess’ website to book our tickets. Just the ladies would visit the sloth sanctuary. He found an antique banana train excursion through the Costa Rican countryside that he liked. Not long after booking, and still months before sailing, we had finally decided that he would go solo on Sloth Day. He loves animals, but he’s never mentioned a sloth obsession. I was trying to figure out whether we should spend another $250 to have Mr. Plus, are that many other people really obsessed with sloths? I was sure it wouldn’t sell out before we sailed.įirst, it was by far the most expensive excursion Princess offered for this port. This is their “behind-the-scenes” baby sloth excursion. When I first booked the Panama Canal cruise, there were plenty of tickets for the Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica’s Insider tour. My daughter is just a little obsessed with sloths, and the entire reason why we chose this itinerary was to visit rescued baby sloths in Costa Rica. More posts from my Panama Canal cruise I ponder whether my daughter is going to kill me if we don’t see baby sloths Some recorders only use system audio, but for the best audio quality – without background noise – look for one that allows you to use an external mic. Watermarks: You’ll find free recorders that watermark every video, and those that don’t – so if you don’t want branding on your captures, look for one where you can remove watermarks.Īudio quality: It’s not just the video quality that matters – the audio is also vital to ensure those watching your video can understand what you’re saying. Also consider what output formats are supported, such as AVI, MP4, MOV, etc.Įditing tools: Some web recorders have no editing tools at all, others offer basic tools to trim and crop your videos, while some have a full editing suite available to help you create polished, professional videos. There are some recorders that don’t do either and simply allow you to share your creations online. Video output/download: Look for a screen recorder online that allows you to download your videos to your device – or to the Cloud if you don’t want to store files on your hard drive. If professional, crisp videos are a must, you’ll want to opt for those providing HD output. Video quality: Some recorders capture your screen in SD quality, while others offer HD 1080p resolution. Whether you’re using a Mac, Linux, or Windows system or looking for a recorder with an iOS or Android app, you need to ensure the recorder you choose is compatible with your OS. Wolf spiders enjoy living outdoors and can often be found hiding under rock piles, woodpiles, fallen trees, landscaping timber, or piles of leaves or grass. My suggestion, is to see if you can use a different pair of headphones for your audio output and either get a budget external microphone or use your existing headset as a microphone only. I should note that the mic is muted on the headset through this entire video, so this output bleed has to be coming from inside the headset (or Discord, but I am not in a position to judge). Notice how Discord is no longer picking up erroneous input. Around halfway through, I unplug my headset's output (leaving the mic plugged in) and switch it for a different pair of headphones. Note how the input sensitivity is up near the middle of the bar. In it, I play some audio in the background through my aforementioned Turtle Beach headset. With that said, I encourage you to watch this brief gif: I have a similar issue with my Turtle Beach Earforce X12 headset and after doing some research, I can say one thing. I'm not trying to record audio, i mainly use my microphone for stream and VoIP (Discord really detect any sound from the output and redirects it into my microphone, i can't listen to something loud without letting the other users listen to the same thing and if i lower the sensitivity they cannot hear me). I know that probably there's something wrong with the motherboard' sockets but i noticed that TeamSpeak3 is the only software i know of that isolates audio output and input when selecting the "Windows Audio Session" option, so maybe there's a solution with a software that enables WASAPI for any application. I also tried (with both headsets) to connect the microphone and the headphone to different sides (microphone front and headphone rear, and vice versa), but still it leaks audio into the microphone, sometimes even when the microphone is disabled hardware-wise (with the button). Stereo Mix is disabled and the audio is not loud enough to be recorded by the microphone externally, probably it's crosstalk from the wires but I tried with a brand new headset (by the way they're both with 3.5mm jacks) and the problem persists. = Please contact PreSonus Technical Support by creating a Support Ticket at My. for further assistance.I noticed that my audio output (anything from system sounds to music) is leaking into my microphone.
